SynopsisThis book is based on final report of I. C. M. R. project. It deals with most crucial problem in J&K, i.e. healthcare. Before 1989, the gender healthcare was not available fully , properly and satisfactory in urban, rural and hilly areas in the state. But, after 1989, even these meager gender healthcare facilities/service were seriously disturbed and the entire system was made non-functional. It was in the preceding context that this empirical study was carried out in 2012-13. The focus of this scientific study was to know about existing gender healthcare conditions, problems, facilities and services. While the impact of conflict on gender healthcare was assessed objectively , the reconstruction of this network was also analysed. This study is composed of eigth specific case studies of health centres in Kashmir which are [I] P .H.C. In Hazratbal, Srinagar [ii] P .H.C. in Khan Sahib, Budgam [iii] P .H.C. in Delina, Baramulla [iv] P .H.C. in Achhabal, Anantnag [v] I. C. D.
