Synopsis‘आस’ में बशीर बद्र की रचनात्मकता का उत्कृष्ट रूप मौदूज है। साहित्य अकादमी से सम्मानित यह संग्रह उनकी कुछ नई गज़लों के साथ पहली बार देवनागरी में प्रकाशित हो रहा है।
अपनी तशीर में बशीर बद्र की गज़लें नन्ही दूब पर अटकी हुई ओस की बूँद और सर्दी में पेड़ की फुगनी पर उतरती हुई मुलायम धूप की तरहा है। यहाँ प्रकृति आदमी के एहसास का हिस्सा है। उन्होने शायरी को सर्वथा नए प्रकृति-बिम्बों से समृध्द किस है। लेकिन उनकी गज़लों में जो छाया-प्रकाश के रुओ-रंगों की सहरकारी है,उसकी तह में हमारे दौर के क्रूर सवाल भी मौजूद हैं।

About the author
Badr was born in Ayodhya, India.He is an alumnus of Aligarh Muslim University. He is married and has three sons Nusrat Badr, Masum Badr, Taiyeb Badr and a daughter.He lived in Aligarh university area during student time and teaching time. He also lived in Meerut, U.P When his house was burnt in riot then he shifted to Delhi after that Bhopal . Now he is living in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. ref www;Zee Sangam tv.com
Badr has written many Urdu ghazals. He has also worked as a chairman of the Urdu Akademi.
Badr has received the Padma Shri award in 1999 for contribution towards literature and Sangeet Natak Akademi. He has also received the Sahitya Akademi Award in Urdu for his poetry collection "Aas" in 1999.
