Shammeer Shammeer Munvar Sultan was born and raised in Chennai. After graduating from College of Engineering, Guindy, he joined a well-known MNC as a software engineer. The love-failure experienced by his best friends inspired him to write short and simple Tamil novels which were lapped up by youngsters all over Tamil Nadu. Neon Nagaram?the Tamil novel from which You Stole My Song has been adapted?is his second novel, and is soon to be made into a feature film in Tamil. An avid pianist, Shammeer is also one of the founders of Paadhai, a creative group formed to express emotions through writing and music. He has pioneered the idea of the musical novel.
